Illustrator 24.2.3 crashes when computer sleeps on macOS Catalina

When I walk away for lunch with Illustrator open I come back about an hour or so later with the following message that it has crashed:

I wasn't sure how much to post. It goes on for several hundred pages. Can anyone replicate this problem? Does anyone know why it is happening?
