Illustrator CC 2017 not saving preferences.

Hi,

I don't have an error message pop up or anything like that. I just prefer to use inches as my rulers and dimensions, but when I close out of Illustrator, it never saves them. Anything I can try to fix that? It'd be cool if I didn't have to manually set it up every single time I opened it up.

I've found that trying to merge paths that have the overprint fill wont merge at all, unclicking the overprint makes it work again.
