Hi,

Could you help fix my ai file?

File Size- 70MB File Type: AI

I dont want the file to be public so the file will be available on request.

An error popped up conveying that illustrator could only partially read my file..

I saved the file 3 separate places : One Drive... Google Drive... And my hard disk. All the files are having the same error. Nothing unusual happened when I last closed the file.

The file is an artwork I have been working on for almost two months now. I was at the point I almost finished the whole work.

I tried Rebooting the computer and also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software.. but no help

There are two error messages, first when I open the file: Illustrator could partially read this file

And when I click open, I see a blank artboard.. a message saying: "This is an Adobe Illustrator file that was saved without pdf content. To place or open this file in other applications, it should be resaved with save compatible pdf turned on"

I am using HP envy x360 running windows 10.

Regards,

Nikhil

You could try and get in touch with sharewithAI@adobe.com

Since the holidays are near, you might need some patience.

There are also recovery services, but those would require you to upload the file to their website. So maybe not an option for you.

For the future:

Please do always make backup copies. That means to not only move your file to different volumes, but also keep different versions. Also instead of copying the saved file, save it to the different volumes.

Illustrator has known issues with saving to network volumes.

And there are issues with synchronizing services in some versions.

If there is something like "Time Machine" available for Windows, then I would suggest to use it.
