Illustrator could partially read this file

Error message with a file I have been working on for over 30 hours... never had this before. Searched the forums and installed a previous version of illustrator... that worked to open the file but when I tried to save it, the same thing happened and then I got the same message. Is there any other recommendations that would help? Very desperate to recover this file at this point!

can you save it into another format (e.g. PDF)?

can you save it as AI with another name?
if there are several artboards, can you save each artboard as a separate file?
