I've been having this issue since the update to 2020.  I am using an iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2019), 3.2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7,  32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, Radeon Pro 560X 4 GB running Catalina 10.15.3 with Illustrator 24.0.3

Everytime I try to do a search for a file it crashes.  I can't even type in the whole search word before it crashes on me.  This happens no matter what I try to search for.

Does Illustrator have full disk access?

Is there a printer connected, turned on and set up as the default printer?

Same here!! I'm running Illustrator from a PC and it crashes every time I click on the search area. Thought it maybe had something to do with Google File Stream that we recently started to use on the company...
