Illustrator CS5.5, brush cursor icon view

In Photoshop, I can make the brush either a crosshair or a circle which reflects the sise of the brush. Great!

HOWEVER, in Illustrator CS5.5, the only options for the brush cursor seem to be either the crosshair, or the brush icon. 

What I want it the round brush icon, which reflects the size of the actual brush.

Is this not possible in CS5.5?

I don't think so, it is only possible in recent versions.
