Please change your printer driver to the Windows PDF printer. Illustrator tries to contact the printer when saving and if it doesn't find it, it will behave badly.

Hi,
Which operating system are you using? Are you sure it is complete blank files with no graphics or items inside it?
There is similar thread, you can read that once.

Exactly where do you save your files?
Is a printer attached to your computer?

I'm on a Mac. There are several instructions on the web on how to set up the PDF printer.

I have an issue with time saving too. When my file contains a simple 3D (like 2 rectangles extruded, no raytracing).

Also a long time for exporting artworks in PDF , even if the layer that contain 3D is hidden.
I don't have this problem with no 3D objects

If you save the PDF with Illustrator editing checked, your 3Dlayer will also be saved.
If you save the PDF with Create Acrobat Layers from Top-Level Layers checked, hidden layers will be saved too.

You're right, thanks for reminding. So I have created a new preset for my PDF export, uncheking illustrator editability.
And what about the simple file saving, any clue?

So be careful, unchecking the AI editability will prevent you from editing the PDF.
So always do it on a copy..
Making the .ai saving faster can be done by unchecking the PDF compatibility.
