Illustrator not included in subscription?

Hi. I have a student/university subscription for creative cloud that I pay for, however, I keep only getting free trials for Illustrator and Photoshop, and then after the trial, it says I have to buy a subscription. Since I already have the subscription, I am confused why Illustrator and Photoshop don't seem to be included. Has anyone had a similar issue or know why I am only able to access the free trials?
