Illustrator performance glacially slow and glitchy - worse after updates.

Hello, please know that Illustrator has been operating with many glitches the past few days. Moving objects, implementing text, and all other usual actions have been painfully glitchy and slow. Needless to say, this is a major problem.

Speech dictation is turned off and all fonts are validated.  Adobe folders and Preferences were also reset. Only editing local files. 72 GB ram. The two reps on the chat that have assisted the past two days have been nice but have not fixed the issue. The upgrade to OS Catalina they suggested actually made the problem worse.

Any timesaving advice would be appreciated : )

Sorry about the delay. I am hopeful that the issue was fixed. If not, would you mind sharing a few more details like:

• OS and version of Illustrator
• Is the issue related to a specific document? If yes, could you please share the document with us? You can upload it to the Creative Cloud (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/share.html) and share the download link.
• Where the files are saved (Network Drive/ System HDD/ Shared Folder on System /External HDD)?
• When did this start happening? Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates or web extensions installed recently.

We have recently released an update for Illustrator 2020 (v 24.2) which contains some stability fixes. If you are not already on v24.2, then we recommend you to update to latest version and let us know how it goes.
