Hi,
I have just resumed working this morning on an Illustrator file that I was half way through. It was all fine last Thursday before Easter, but this morning when I opened the file, illustrator has slowed to an unworkable state.
I always drop pdf images or JPEG images into a background layer to trace over, as I have done for years. This is how I regularly work.
I have linked the problem to the PDF and Jpeg files. Once deleted from the background layer, save AI and reopen the lag goes but drop a jpeg file in the background layer and it all seizes up again?
I have also looked at some work I have finished successfully over the past week without issues. When opening the related work pdf there is a terrible lag now.
My computer has been off over the Easter weekend so I have no idea what is suddenly causing this?
I have all software updated although I have not changed anything since last week.
Could anybody advise please.
Thank you in advance.
