Illustrator problems

Hi!

When I try to move a pattern to create a new swatch, I don´t know why but AI stops working, and it doesn´t respond. It seems like the pattern is too heavy or something and i just can force the exit. The computer is a new mac, so I understand it shouldn´t be a problem (3 GHz Intel Core i5 de 6 núcleos). Can you help me with that? 🙂

Thanks,

Bea.

I moved your post from the Get Started forum to the Program Specific forum, Illustrator.

If this is in Error please state the exact Adobe program you are asking about.

Hi Bea,

Could you elaborate a little more on the problem. When you say "move a pattern" I'm guessing you are trying to drag artwork into the Swatches panel to create a pattern?

Have you tried selecting your artwork that is to become a pattern and from the menu choosing...
Object > Pattern > Make

Can you please be more specific about the pattern?

Does that happen with all patterns? Simple ones as well?
