Illustrator saving file removes Apple OS tags on file

Whenever I save an illustrator document that has Apple OS tags atributed to the file, saving eliminates the those Apple tags and so I am no longer able to search the file by my tags. Adobe products seem to be the only applications that do this for me.

Is there a solution to this that anyone knows of?

It seems to work if it is the latest Illustrator 2020 format. I have a lot of files that are CS6 and when they are just saved the tags get stripped. This will work now that I know that.

Thank you!

I can't reproduce that.

Are you using "Save as"?
