Trying to install Illustrator on my Mac Pro and when it is opening, it gets to plug ins and fails.

There are no plug ins in the folder, so I cannot delete anything as mentioned in last posts.

Crash report attached.

Yes.

This is the only app that wont open.  I have premiere pro, photoshop, after effects, media encoder, lightroom all installed and running just fine in this machine.

Illustrator opens and runs just fine on all of my other mac devices.

  • Launch Illustrator from the Creative Cloud.

**Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. This way all your old settings will be saved in .old folders and Illustrator will recreate new folders with default settings.

You may also try logging into the root account (https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT204012). Check how application works there. If it works fine there, then it could be related to permission errors. Follow these steps to repair permission errors: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/kb/preferences-folder-read-only-error.html

Let us know if it helps.

Ashutosh

Crashes when opening files are most of the time related to printers, more precisely missing printers. Is a printer connected, set up as the default printer and turned on?

As for the type crashes: do you use font management and is it compatible with your version of Illustrator? Are all fonts checked and OK?
