Illustrator Won't Load

Every time I try to open illustrator, it technically opens but then it doesn't load and stays blank, like this:

And then I got a notification that my creative cloud needed updating so I clicked that application open and it also did not load, however, I soon got another notification that "two updates were successful".

I can open photoshop perfectly, so I'm not sure why illustrator isn't. I also tried restarting my computer but it didn't fix anything.

Nevermind! I was just using the wrong update for it.

Okay, I fixed it for a bit... but now it's back to doing the same thing
