How do I import a picture from google to plug into my flat. I can't seem to figure it out.

Whatever the source, the image file must first exist on an accessible drive on your computer or network. Then use File > Place to import it to your artboard.

Also drag and drop between a browser window and an Illustrator document will embed the image.
