Hello I have a batch to make the area of a text transparent.
It works apart from the Alignment.

This is what I have:

Bild1.jpg

Manually the alignment works and is
recorded as Alignment -> Horzontal Align Center in the Action.

I use a dataset to export different names.

All work in the batch apart from the Horzontal Align Center alignment.

First value in the dataset is James and second is John.

I aligned James manually to Horzontal Align Center and saved the alignment as an action.

But you can seee that John isn't aligned to the center:

Bild2 (1).pngBild2 (3).png
Instead the J of John has the same position as the J of James.

So why doesn't the alignment work in the batch and what can I do to let it work?

Which version of Illustrator are you using?

Can you share at least one sample .ai file as well as the action file (.aia) that is used in your batch process?
