Instal Illustrator button not working

I can download the illustrator instal dmg file but when I click on it the Illustrator instal icon appears telling me to click it twice to install. I do.... nothing. There's no error, nothing telling me about a firewall. I went to my settings to turn off my firewall just in case and still nothing. I', running macOS Catalina 10.15.4, don't know if they're not compatible. Please help
