Is my drawing gone forever?

HELP!!! 

I made a drawing. Saved it in a file and then when i went back to work on it erased it, save the file and closed it. Didnt realize that i erased the drawing from the file until i went back to it and its not there. Is there any way to recover a drawing from a file or the recent history of the file after it has been saved? HELP!

History is not saved. If you closed the file and re open it your history is empty.

I always recommend to re save every step. You can create a snapshot in the history panel and create a document from snapshot. Especially when you are drawing...

There is no history panel in Illustrator. unfortunately...

Unless you saved it in the Creative Cloud Files folder, it is gone.
