I'm looking for an easier way to highlight all text within a text box to easily edit the text. For example, once I create a line of text in a specific style, I'll often copy and paste that text to maintain the style and want to edit the text by quickly highlighting everything and typing new content.
I've gotten used to using this function in Sketch, where I'll click on a piece of text, hit Enter, and the entire text box is highlighted. In Illustrator, I currently have to click several times on a text box to eventually highlight all the text within it. This can frustrating if I don't click the exact right amount of times, or if I accidentally nudge the text box while clicking.
Remember, I'm looking for a shortcut to highlight the text for editing, not to select the text box itself (since the text box will already be selected to accomplish this).
Set the text cursor in the text and then Cmd +A
Windows: Ctrl+A
