Items jumping when selected in illustrator

Whenever I select an item or image in illustrator it jumps up or to the right a few mm. I read one forum saying it could be linked to 'rightzoom' but I'm yet to find any instructions on how to turn this off. Any ideas on how to turn this off/fix the issue?

Impossible to say much without actual system information, but most likely this is either an issue with hardware acceleration or your input device, so check the relevant drivers and settings.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind sharing version of the OS & Illustrator? Does it happen with a specific file or all?

If it happens with all files, please try resetting preferences of the app. Let us know how it goes.
