lagging and choppy

HI,  recently bought a new iMac 2020, using Ai 25.0 (just updated) the previous version was really choppy when moving simple object and a lot worse when moving more complicated objects. V25.0 is the same, very choppy and slow moving. It is fairly fustrating, is ther a fix for this?
