Lines at the end of strokes with gradient

Hello,

I am trying to apply a gradient on a stroke with a rounded cap. However, at the beginning of the cap a brighter line appears that I cannot seem to remove.

Another issue with the same shape is to apply a gradient fade to the cap, so that it fades radially at the end of the stroke.

Thanks for any help!

The lines are caused by the way this feature works. You could try if View > Preview on CPU helps.

As for the rounding of the cap: this is not possible with gradient on a stroke. You could create a pattern brush (but you would have to use a blend instead of a gradient and you would have to create the caps yourself)
