Hello,
I have a question for Illustrator's Live Trace Feature.
Something quite frustrating for me is:
Once I have live traced a Black Ink artwork, I am then presented with a Vector Based version.
I would like to deal with the Black Vector only, without having white paper remaining within the artwork.
I would normally go through and select all of the Black Vector and Drag away, leaving the net behind to be deleted.
As you can imagine if I am Live Tracing a Halftone image, this takes a lot of time to select each individual black vector area. Not to mention, one false click without holding shift and I am back to the beginning again, ungrouped.
My question is:
Is there a fast way to select vector only, once live traced, allowing any white sections to be hole-punched windows?
Any information would be much appreciated.
In the Advanced features dialog check the box that says Ignore White. That should help.

Thank you Larry!
I soon discovered this feature shortly after posting my Q. One thing I did realise, was the live trace with Ignore White selected differed quite a bit in comparison to unchecked. It seemed as though with this particular trace, I was better off leaving Ignore White unchecked - picking up the detail in the halftone image.
