Making object into strokes in Illustrator

Hei,

 

I have bought some icons from Shutterstock I would like to edit somehow.

It´s a vector file, but the strokes are expanded, så they are in fact an object.

Are there some way to make the object into strokes, and for Illustraor to understand how the strokes are gonna go?

THere's no automatic way. If all you want to do is make lines thinner or thicker, try Object > Path > Offset path
