I'm missing the reference point in AI, please help if you can.

Screenshot attached.

This is different then the Photoshop reference point problem, where the option-click to move the point has gone defunct.

I found the anser in another thread. The reference point only shows up when you select the object with the tool, not when you use the drop down menu… hmm. ok!

Go to the Attributes panel and enable Show Center Point.

Hi Larry, thank you for the quick reply.

Your suggestion doesn't seem to solve my problem though, I am attaching another image.

While I can see the attributes panel has a "show center" toggle, and I can see the center of the object, this is not the same as the reference point, which I would like to use (and have used in the past) to execute a precise rotation around a specific point (the reference point, which previously I have been able to move around, but now seems to be missing.)

Have you got any other suggestions?
