Moving artboard

Just downloaded a trial version of illustrator. As soon as youve opened a new artboard it drifts off to the right unprompted, and out of view. This happens everytime i open a new file. 

Does anyone have any suggestions for resolving this problem?

What kind of input device are you using?

I use a bluetooth keyboard and bluetooth mouse. Even when theyve both been switched off the artboard will drift off screen. Even when scrolling across to regain the artboard again it moves off on its own.

Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. But problem persists with both turned off.
