My computer is so slow cant run two apps at the same time

Hi,

My computer is 2012 apple mac and runs so slow example I cant open up photoshop while I am on illustrator or if I do its sooo slow is it because my computer is 8 years?

I have contacted apple help line and I have lots of memory and storage they did say they would do a restall the systems operating system but first wanted to ask is it because an 2012 computer cant cope with adobe apps as its 8 years old ??

This is not about age.

Please post your computer's hardware specifications.

How much RAM, how much free disk space. What kind of disk?

What kind of processor?

8 GB of RAM is just barely sufficient for running Illustrator alone (16 GB is recommended).

So running both Illustrator and Photoshop just can't be expected to work.

And also there's not much storage available for scratch disks.

And then you might be able to improve performance with an SSD.
