Tool selected and it's drawing white lines...
Please check Fill Color/ Stroke Color, it may be set as NONE or White, which may be not visible.
Hi, There is also one possiblity, that I just thought of, the color of your layer on which you are trying to draw may se set as WHITE.
See screenshot for the reference, there are rectangles drawn on this layer but not visible because layer color is set as a shade of WHITE.
If this is the case for you then you can double click the layer from the Layers panel and change color as in below screenshot.
And then again trying to draw rectangle. This will not reflect on existing rectangle but we you try to draw a new one it will show up.
I hope this may little guide you
Check if your tilde key is stuck.
And/or restart the computer
And/or close all other applications (yes, this includes the browser. Especially the browser)
I saw you mentioned that you were drawing white lines.
If you have the 24.1.x version you will have the real-time drawing feature.
When you draw with white strokes, and or white fills, you will see nothing while drawing when in the View menu Show Edges an Show Bounding box are turned off.
When finished drawing you will see nothing when you draw with white on a white background.
Draw wth a colour to see what you are drawing.
