Need to move objects less than 1pt at a time in Illustrator

It seams as if Illustrator only allows you to move 1 pt when moving an object. I need to be more precise than that. You used to be able to drag your object to exactly where you want it. Is it possible to adjust the movement less than 1pt? How? What settings to change? Thank you.
