Just got a new iMac with SSD. I have 256 Ssd. Plenty of space. Neither program will install , stating there isn't enough space. What do I do?!

I restarted and it all installed. I have 2TB in the cloud and an external. Plenty of space for what I need it for.

Hopefully you're able to get this resolved.

If you're within the return/exchange period for your new iMac, I'd highly recommend exchanging it for one with 512GB or 1TB.  (Yes, that will cost more.)

Regardless of Mac or Windows, a 256GB boot drive is not "plenty of space".  It's no space whatsoever.
