Optimizing Work

Hi

need some tips to optimize my work 🙂

I just made 250 graphs for a 300 pages file.

I had do made each graph on illustrator, based on the graph tool. And after, I customized them (by color and shape). One by one.

Is there a way I can design a graph template to avoid this 2 step process?

After making all the graphs, I had to import them to an InDesign file for the table of contents, page numbering, and printing final art. (I don't know it's easier to make the graphs in InDesign, I don't have the knowledge)

It took me weeks to make this job. And I have to do it all over again next month.
Is there a way to make all this process less time-consuming?

Thank you for time 🙂

Which version of Illustrator are you using?

Also, based on your screenshot, I'm not quite sure what kind of automation you are looking for to avoid whatever it may be.

Can you elaborate a bit?

Hi, thank you for your time!

I was using AI 2020, just updated the app to the 2021 version.

I’m sorry, you are right, can’t really tell with the image I sent.
Now I added the graphics that I used as a base. I insert the data on the grey graphs and adapt my graphs to them.
I was wondering if there's a way to avoid making this 2 step process, by making my own changeable data graph.

I hope I manage to explain better my situation 🙂
thank you
