One of the shortcuts I use the most in Adobe Illustrator is Past in Front, but it's no longer working.
Anything I copy doesn't paste it in front of the previous one but in the upper left corner.
It is frustrating because I use it a lot in combination with the Pathfinder tools, but this problem is making my job much more difficult.
I have already checked that the shortcut is correct, I tried to reset the general preferences but nothing.
Can someone help me?
Thanks
I solved it this way.
I unchecked the SVG-Code option in Preferences > File Handling and Clipboard.

I tried recreating this behavior using Illustrator 25.1 on a Mac running Mojave. For me the item that I cut to the pasteboard pasted in front in exactly the same spot that it had been originally. I did this using the menu comand Edit>Paste in Front. What version of Illustrator and what operating system are you using? Have you tried this using the menu command or only the keyboard shortcut?

I am using Adobe Illustrator 2019 on a Widows 10.
I tried both with the menu command and the keyboard shortcut, but nothing. Don't paste in the same place.

Another thing I noticed. If I try the shortcut 3 times. The third time the command responds correctly. But I can't repeat a step 3 times every time I have to use the "Past in front".

Did you check the fly-out menu in the Laters palette?
Paste Remembers Layers should not be checked if you want to paste between layers.
