Pen Tool Anchor Points Disappearing

Hi there,

I am having a glitch on my Illustator: 
I will be usng the pen tool and be able to control the tangents and points, adjusting the curvature and what not. Then randomly, it wont let me. They will disappear or be flickering while completely inactive.

Has anyone encountered this before?  I have attached a video of what happens post glitch. Prior to this video, the pen tool was working perfect.y
