Hello,
I have created a file in Photoshop with a workspace/image height of 64 pixels. Now when I drag the equally high image into AI, the graphic is suddenly only 48 pixels high!
Why is this? Can you help?
Best regards!
P.S: Maybe this helps:
Here is the height of the image in Photoshop:
Here is the height of the image in Illustrator after dragging it over:

Illustrator honors the image resolution. So if the image resolution is higher than 72 ppi, the image will be smaller in Illustrator.

What happens if you copy/paste it or use the Place command?
Your proportions are distorted.

What was the density of pixels in Photoshop? Go with 72 dpi in photoshop.
Illustrator cares more about the physiclal size when imnportin g a bitmap file. When creating a new docuemtn in illustrator at pixls it uses 72 dpi, to make a document of that physical size. For example if I made a 72 x 72 pixel document in illustrator and change the units to inches it will be 1 inch.
The metric equivalent I would think is harder to work with as is not an even number at the end as is about28.346, but you probably have more experience with that myself.

That worked!!
I didn't know the 72 dpi thing. I changed it to 72 dpi in PS and when I dragged it into AI it stayed the same size!
Thank you very much for your help!
Stay safe and healthy 😊
