placing a jpeg or png file in illustrator 2019 becomes blurry

hi need help here! when i place a jpeg or png file in adobe illustrator cc2019 . the file becomes blur .

anyone please help me out here.

I see nothing unexpected, except for the cut at the inner corner of the L.

 

What happens if you Ctrl/Cmd+E, which toggles between GPU and CPU?

If you have enlarged the image from the size it was in Photoshop the blurriness or pixelization is what can be expected. Raster images (which are pixel based) deteriorate as they get enlarged. This is especially true of images that are created for the web which can support a resolution of 72 pixels per inch and thus does not allow for any quality enlargement.
