post recent update - workspace resetting after every restart

This is a major nuisance that needs to be addressed. Workspaces are not clickable or can be saved now... After every restart of illustrator, all windows are closed as well as control and toolbars are turned off. Sure I can turn everything back on each tand every time I log in. But I find it extremely annoying that I'm paying a monthly business fee of $85.00 for something that was working just fine. But then some idiot decides to make whatever update and break something that was completely functional before. Fix this and dont bother to ask me any questions either I don't have time to do your jobs for you!
