Pressure not working with Brush in Illustrator

Hi everybody,

I recently bought a drawing pad (Huion Inspiroy H1161) and everything works except for the brush tool. I am using Windows 10 and the latsest version of Illustrator.

I did the following:

• window > brushes > new brush > calligraphic brush
• at size I chose 3 pt, pressure and 3pt with variation as well

Now, when I am drawing with my digital pen, I just get a fine stroke. The pressure does not seem to work neither does it seem the right thickness.

In addition, when I draw with my pen, I no longer see what I am drawing until I release. Only then does my line appear.

I attached an image showing the difference in thickness when drawing with my digital pen and when using my mouse.
