Discovered I'm having an issue in Illustrator when placing a cmyk image into my file. Regular preview mode changes to CPU preview, and it becomes locked. I can't switch back. Is there a solve for this? I am using the most up-to-date Illustrator on Creative Cloud. This is also distorting my colours when files print...like alot.

I go between US Web Coated (SWOP) v2 or Coated GRACol 2006. Mostly Web Coated SWOP.

I noticed the 'unsyncronized' message within that colour settings dialogue box, and changed the settings in Bridge. Looks like it might have solved the issue.

LATEST

Your Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6 means that color management is turned off.

Probably caused by a recent Photoshop bug.

Luckily it can be solved by at least updating Photoshop to 22.3.1

Updating Illustrator to 25.2.3 is recommended as well.

After doing that, setup your Color Management (Bridge is a good tool to synchronize the settings)

And it is useful to also turn on the warnings for Profile mismatches.

Some of your files you created lately may have a wrong or missing profile and you may want to be warned when that is the case.
