Problem matching edges of 3D mapped artwork

Hello, I created a sphere using the 3D revolve effect and I then mapped a striped artwork on it using the option Scale to fit and Invisible geometry. However, the edges of the mapped art do not match (see attached picture). Can someone advise me on how to solve this issue?
