Hello, we have a small company that uses Illutrator for making slide and publication art. We have 3 employees each working remotely with a total of 5 cpus (all macs with most current os. We generate between 20-100 files a day and share them among our computers with Sugarsync software. We're not sure if the problem we are having is with adobe or sugarsync. We file according to month/year of creation of the files and have files beginning in 2005. In addition each month we open all of the illustrator files and save a copy as a pdf so we can search for text within the documents (this takes place on any of the cpus and is immediately synced on all). The problem we are having is that occassionaly we find a large number of corrupt illustrator files that will not open and the icon displays as a terminal icon. whenever this happens the corresponding pdf also is afffected the same way. There may be 50 files in a folder any 8-10 of them will be affected this way. The only solution we've found is replacing individual files with time machine but this is not an ideal solution since occasionally changes are made to the illustrator files. Has anyone had a similar issue or have any idea as to the cause? Thanks in advance.
