Loke,

I believe it could be some kind of corruption.

What happens if you copy the arttwork and paste it into a new doument, then try from there?

May I ask if there is any particular reason for this corruption ? As dont think I faced similar issue when using older version of Illustrator. However, I do hope that future versions do not have this problem.

What are the dimensions of the file that you want to export as a 300 ppi PNG?

You may have run into an Illustrator limitation.

Try opening the Illustrator file in Photoshop at the resolution you need.

Do you need to convert your vectors to images? Or would a pdf work?

I wouldlike to convert them to an image from Illustartor. Here is roughly the process:

1. I exported a PDF from CAD software.

2. I opened the PDF in Photoshop and exported it as a PNG

3. I opened the PNG in Illustrator to add some lines to it

4. When I wanted to export  it as a PNG from Illustrator, that is when the issue came.

I opened the PDF in Photoshop to save its as a PNG before bringing it back to Illustrator to add some additional linework.

Why not open the PDF in Illustrator and add some lines?

Illustrator opens the PDF as a series of editable lines. Therefore, it becomes more heavier to work with in Illustrator diretly. Thus, I save it as a PNG in photoshop first, then bring it back to Illustrator.

To be more precise, the PDF is something like an Architectural Linework Drawing

Thanks for getting back, do appreciate it. May I ask if it will affect the exporting outcomes ? Will it become blurrer ? I can give that a try if the quality can be preserved
