Put stretched placed image back into the same proportions?

I have an image that has been placed into a document and then stretched so that the horizontal and vertical proportions are not the same. Is there an easy way to pop it back to, say 50% in both directions? Currently I'm re-placing the image, but if there's an easier way I'd love to know it. Thanks!
