Radial repeat breaks when object is scaled

Whenever I try and scale a radial repeat object, it breaks the dynamic link (as if  "expand" were applied) and can't be adjusted anymore.

It doesn't do that for me.

Which version on which system is it?

Do you have any snapping turned on?

Hi and thanks for a quick reply. Windows 10, Illustrator 25.1. Happens with snapping turned on (tested with snap to point) and without all snapping off.

When did you last reboot the computer?

What kind of document is it? Perhaps a large canvas document?

Rebooted computer, then tried again with new web document template, not a large canvas document. Exact same thing happens.
