Random Box in upper left corner

Adobe Illustrator. I used to be able to press "T" to select the "text" tool, now it just pops up in this weird upper left box. How do I get rid of that box? Thanks!

That's caused by some other app which hijacks the shortcut.

Thanks for reaching out. I agree with Monika. It definitely looks like another program on your machine which gets triggered by pressing T on the keyboard. Closing this program while working with Illustrator should help.
