Recolor Artwork Tool With Colors from Libraries?

Hi friends! I use libraries to store all my fave colors and I'm wondering if there is a way to use the Recolor Artwork tool to sample from all of my colors in my library? I don't see a way to do this without manually adding them to my swatches. Any chance this is possible and I'm missing it? 

I pretty much only use Illustrator for the Recolor Artwork tool otherwise I'm a Photoshop illustrator. Please let me know if using swatches for my colors is preferably over libraries anyway - I'm game to change my workflow if it will help. I don't currently share libaries with anyone.

Yes, you have to use swatches and save them. Unfortunately Recolor Artwork doesn't respond to selected swatches or colors mixed on the fly due to AI's dated panel architecture and how things interact with each other.
