Hi - I am new to AI so apologies if this is basic... I have traced a PDF photo image using the pen tool. I am happy with the shape outline but I am unable to remove the original and save just the tracing - the background is present. I would like to save the trace only so I can edit it later. It is a .ai file currently.. I would be v grateful for any help please? Thanks in advance!

Hi - thanks for your reply. I opened the layers as you suggested and removed some of the eye view layers - and it worked! THank you for this 🙂

Could you take a screenshot of what you have that contains the layers panel? The layer should be opened, so the contents are visible. To dothat, click on the little arrow to the left of the layer name.
