Rotating flower petals

Rotate dialog box doesn't pop up when I press Alt and click on the anchor point at the tip of the petal using the rotate tool.What should I do?

Maybe your modifier keys get "stolen" by some other app.

You will need to check all your processes in order to see what's running and then turn it off.

Yes, browsers are on the list of software that does this, also screensharing, email, banking software, some antivirus, some mouse and keyboard enhancers and a lot of other stuff.

Do you keep the Alt key depressed when clicking with the Rotate tool selected?

Can you coninue working after pressing the alt key? Maybe the dialog comes up off screen.

I selected the petal and then clicked on rotate tool. Moved the reference point to the tip of the petal and then clicked on it while pressing alt key.

When I press alt, the bounding box appears instead of the rotate dialog box.

How do you move the reference point?

You can only do that while holding down the Alt key.

Do you use a drawing tablet?

Did you try to reset your preferences?

Yes I used the Alt key to move it. I'm using a laptop . Windows.
