Running one CEP base in multiple locations

I run CEP by placing my scripts in Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions/....

In each AI version I drop them there.

My question is, is there away where I could setup the CEP files in a network folder and then have AI read those as a single code base?

If so how could I achieve this?

In the past, I have successfully loaded the CEP extension by creating a symbolic link in the CEP folder to the codebase present at a different location. I tested it on a MAC, and it worked fine. See if mapping a network drive and then creating a link to the codebase on that drive works or not.
