Save As Not Working

Hi all, ever since I upgraded AI to 25.2.3 and my iMac to Big Sur 11.4 it's been a hot mess. I can't start a new file unless I set my preferences to Legacy "File New" Interface, and more importantly I can't "Save As". Nothing happens - no message, nothing. I have tried so many things -- uninstall/reinstall AI, gave CC access to my Full Disk, deleted settings in Folders (following other threads I've found with similar problems), restarted my computer several times, restarted in Safe Mode. Anything else?  So so fustrating 😞  Thanks for any help.

I installed the older version 24.3 for now and that one works just fine.
