Save vs Save As Issues

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone else out there is having the same issue?

I was trained to save my work as I went along in a file.

When done, these saves would automatically save the file.

I should be able to close it out and when I open it back up,

it should open up with the changes I have saved.

In the past 48 hours, this has not happened for me.

When I open the file back up, my previous changes are not saved.

I am a chronic over-saver, so there is NO way this should hypothetically be happening.

The only thing that fixed it was a straight up Save As.

No Designer is taught to Save As as they go, jut Save.

There could be an issue with the "Save in bAckground" option from the preferences. Please try and turn it off.

Keren,

It is always recommended to create backups with different names regularly, and to store backups in more than one place/way.

And also to save often.

You may use Autosaviour,

If you have a CC subscription, saving files in your Creative Cloud Files folder will automatically create and keep versions up to 10 days,

And there is also the concept of Cloud documents,
